With a sound that is very similar to what the Pogues did on their first two albums, similar to Flogging Molly, and Arvid Grov's voice is very similar to that of Shane Mac Gowan, so much in fact that Mac Gowan once did not even realise that it was not him singing on a record that was played to him on Norweigan radio. They come from Norway's second city of Bergen, which is situated on the west coast of the country. They have toured in the UK, Poland, Italy and Czech Republic and are looking to break into the USA if anyone is willing to give them a chance. If they were Irish or pretending to be Irish I am sure they would be a lot bigger but they are not pretending to be anything, they are just Norweigan's who have a strong love for Irish music and enjoy playing it so why not? The 2010 release "Songs From The Bunker" is Norwegian paddy punk band Greenland Whalefishers 6th full-length album. The album includes 15 tracks and a music video of the song "Waiting".
